Remembrance Gathering Honoring Chief Judge Newman

Chief Judge William T. Newman, Jr.’s extraordinary service, steady leadership, and deep commitment to the Arlington legal community leaves a lasting legacy. 

He was a respected jurist, a friend and mentor to many, and a cherished presence in our courthouse.

In recognition of his profound impact on our Bar and our community, the Arlington County Bar Association will host a remembrance gathering in his honor.

3:30 p.m. – 5:30 p.m.
Arlington County Courthouse – 3rd Floor Atrium

Light refreshments will be served. During the gathering, colleagues and friends will have an opportunity to share memories, reflections, and stories celebrating Chief Judge Newman’s life, career, and enduring influence.

We hope you will join us as we come together to remember and honor the Chief.

Given the overwhelming outpouring of respect and love for Judge Newman, his family is understandably having funeral services privately.   Please send any written remembrances and condolences for his family to the Bar Association Office to be forwarded on.
